David Gerovac
Principal-in-Charge
David's comprehensive project portfolio ranges from a $4 million, 6-story historic building renovation to the ground-up construction of a 43,000 square foot fitness club. And he's done everything in between. Projects include school district buildings, large-scale retail, restaurants and hotels for clients such as Barnes & Noble, El Con Mall, Reid Park Zoo and LA Fitness.
He manages an innovative and experienced project team of designers, supervisors and craftsman who are committed to completing your project on time and on budget.
Joe Donovan
Project Manager
As Project Manager for Canyon Building & Design, Joe reviews all plans and specifications for discrepancies and omissions prior to and during construction. He works closely with architects and engineers on implementation, design, and workability of complex construction projects. Joe is in charge of estimating and negotiating all change orders for all projects. He is also in charge of procuring all construction permits and compiling all general conditions involved with the bidding process including analyzing all bids prior to submittal. Joe served as the Project Manager for Champan Mercedes Benz and Chapman Volkswagen.
Kevin Keil
Estimator & Pre-Construction
Kevin's background includes project management, estimating, sales and marketing. He was instrumental in helping establish Canyon Building & Design's Phoenix branch. As a previous owner of a commercial general contracting company, Kevin is keenly aware of the critical nature of effective project management and accurate estimating. While with another firm, Kevin worked on an open remodel and re-image at Camelback VW, and a remodel at Midway Chevrolet. In addition, he worked on a remodel for the Sanderson Ford Parts and Service Department and the Oil Lube Facility at the same dealership.
Lester E. Martin
Superintendent
Originally from Southern California, Lester has served as superintendent on dozens of projects ranging from a 450,000 square foot assisted living facility to the remodel and restoration of the BioSphere 2 science facility managed by The University of Arizona.
Other projects include a warehouse addition for Coca-Cola, a supply center for the U.S. Navy and a retail shopping center facade remodel. Lester studied construction technology and architectural drafting at Fullerton College. He has been with Canyon since 2000.
Willie Alejandro
Superintendent
Willie has 30 years experience in retail, industrial and residential construction. Project clients include Blockbuster, Mervyn's, Bloomingdales and Victoria Secret. He managed all phases of renovations on properties damaged during the 1994 earthquake in California. He was project manager for a retail build out that included more than 30 store fronts in 6 major markets. He has been with Canyon since 2000.
